I can't find the link to the study (it was in 1955), but here is a screen shot from one. This shows the fake niacin did not work and actually INCREASED liver toxicity. Not there were no hepatotoxic effects for participants taking u p to 3g of nicotinic acid per day.

Your favorite white coat didn't learn this in med school. They aren't taught this stuff. I know because I've been there. PS, if there were any health issues with high dose niacin, I'd be in big trouble. I've taken as much as 9g per day for 2 weeks with only positive effects.

I’ll work on it. I believe you. Question...if you do take more than you need, where does it go? Does the body flush the excess like it does other supplements or is it stored in the body? Some supplements cause trouble because they build up in the body. Some flush out and don’t cause a problem.

I have read that the no-flush Niacin was more dangerous and didn’t help with cholesterol. Most articles claim they are both dangerous. Some have said up to a gram a day is fine. Most said if you take over a gram a day you need blood tests to monitor it. It’s all over the place!

Yes, if it was THAT dangerous you would be dead. LOL
