LOL, it might down South. I was taught that there is good and bad in all of them. One of our local churches (Presbyterian or Episcopalian) has an annual Blessing of the Animals service that I go to. Sometimes it’s at the local park. You bring your animals to get them blessed.
The only bad experience I ever had was when my best friend wanted me to go to a Holiness tent revival when we were about 16. We did fine until the pastor started walking up to people, slugging them in the face, and screaming “Suffer for the Lord”. He was knocking them out cold. That was happening at about the time we saw the two baskets sitting up front. We made a hasty exit on our hands and knees under the tent flap before the snakes came out.
