People from the country's most populous island, Malaita, had traveled to the capital in a spillover of anger about a host of domestic issues including unrealized infrastructure promises, media reported.
As well as anger about a lack of development, the Solomons government has faced pressure over a 2019 decision to cut ties with Taiwan and establish a formal relationship with China.
As well as looting stores, demonstrators set fire to a thatched roof building on the grounds of the Parliament -- as it was sitting -- and a police station, said the Prime Minister.
The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) urged people attending schools and businesses around Honiara to stay home to avoid being affected by unrest.

There are some things in there that I’m not 100% comfortable with,
but the articles are a GROSS LIE as far as I can tell.
I am unable to find anyplace in the indicated PDFs where the Salvation
Army asserts that Christianity is inherently Racist, or that Whites need
to apologize for it, for starters.
That thread has me fuming at the sheer evil of this cancelation attempt against the Salvation Army, without any investigation or fight.
And how well it’s working.
A part of the Salvation Army dares to discuss racism from a Christian
perspective, the EneMedia lies about what they said, and supposed
FReepers suddenly can’t cancel yet another overtly Christian organization
fast enough.
I say provide Verify-able Screenshot Proof they wrote it, or it didn’t happen.

As noted in this Court’s prior order, trial in this case will commence on November 29,
2021. Dkt. No. 330. The trial will take place in Courtroom 318 of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, Thurgood Marshall U.S. Courthouse at 40 Foley Square, New York, New York. In accordance with its prior Order, the Court will ensure access for alleged victims and members of the Defendant’s family. Dkt. No. 344.
The Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure prohibit the broadcasting of federal judicial criminal proceedings from the Courtroom. See Fed. R. Crim. P. 53; see also https://nysd.us courts.gov/covid-19-coronavirus. However, as indicated below, consistent with the District’s COVID-19 protocols, the Court will facilitate substantial public and press access at the Courthouse.
First, consistent with the District’s COVID-19 distancing requirements, a number of pool reporters and members of the public will be permitted in the courtroom proper as managed by the District Executive’s Office.

Per the S.D.N.Y. Response to COVID-19, anyone who appears at any S.D.N.Y. courthouse must complete a questionnaire on the date of the proceeding prior to entering the courthouse. All visitors must also have their temperature taken when they arrive at the courthouse. Only persons who meet the entry requirements established by the questionnaire and whose temperatures are below 100.4 degrees will be allowed to enter the courthouse. All visitors must wear a mask that covers the person’s nose and mouth. Bandannas, gaiters, and masks with valves are not permitted. If a person does not have an approved mask, a screener will provide one. Anyone who fails to comply with the COVID-19 protocols that have been adopted by the Court will be required to leave the courthouse. There are no exceptions. I’m gonna continue to support them too, unless shown seriously sound
reason not to.
I can imagine ways they all can be right in one way or another, as well as
sincere in their words and deeds, and minds, even while fingers get
pointed. Including Lin.
The latest fog of war has not changed that.
There are other parties stirring the pot between the three, I think. Parties
that do not share our agenda.
That’s good! Parsons is a do nothing governor. AG is ok but he could have fought against mandates much harder. Need some good news. These local health agencies are water carriers for Pfizer, period.
