It's helpful for everyone to see how dumb Gov. Pritzker's statement is. He has the facts wrong, and even his first sentence is nonsensical. Does he think that every security guard, police officer, and national guardsman is automatically in the wrong if they drive 20 miles? His own security detail must drive that far on many days. So do most police officers.

If a police officer ends up shooting someone and they drove 21 miles to where the shooting happened is that automatically a wrongful shooting? Of course the people Kyle Rittenhouse was forced to shoot were armed, or in the process of arming themselves in Mr. Rosenbaum's case.

Both Pritzker and Lightfoot went on to express sympathy for those who were shot, all of whom had ugly criminal records. They expressed no sympathy whatsoever for countless victims of the riots.
