Remember the Rodney King case? They were found not guilty, so the federal government sued them for civil rights violations of Rodney King and beat them.
The circumstances in the Rodney King incident were much different. The cops were acting under color of authority so that gave the Feds the excuse to step in. There’s no “there” there for the Feds this time.
