cant believe the Professor of Rock, one of Youtube's popular music channels interviews Ted Nugent, and his impact on rock. Yeah, his Gibson Byrdland after 4 decades is still alive :)
Way back when I used to regularly Journey to the Center of My Mind watching Ted and The Amboy Dukes live at the Silverbell Ski Lodge just north of Detroit. Those were the days!
My fav song Nugent ever played
I assume silverbell ski lodge is Pine Knob?
Saw a few shows there.
Chicago was great. Leonid and friends is better.
Had backstage passes and met Kansas members.
As I recall Pine Knob was the outdoor venue. Silverbell Ski Lodge was a big bar with a stage. The Amboy Dukes played there often and the “house band” was Third Power. I saw Miles Davis at Pine Knob in 1975. That was pretty awesome. I also saw Bob Seger and the Last Heard at St. Michael’s HS in Pontiac at a “sock hop”. Like I said, those were the days.
