cant believe the Professor of Rock, one of Youtube's popular music channels interviews Ted Nugent, and his impact on rock. Yeah, his Gibson Byrdland after 4 decades is still alive :)
“Journey to the Center of your Mind” Come along if you can, Amboy Dukes..... First time I ever heard a guitar used as an assault weapon. WOW, it was and still is great
Ted Nugent - "Come And Take It" Lyric Video 2:35
Probably not destined to become a classic but not bad IMO.
saw that tour in Buffalo and got a white Tux-jacket wi the CSF cover screened on the back, they were selling them for $10
good times
Did somebody say The Cure?
I discovered them late. Roger Smith is a great songwriter in that style of music. Very creative.
One of the first songs that caught my attention was
“Close To Me”. A very simple melody, leading into a fantastic jazzy saxophone solo. Many more.
Robert Smith.
good times is an understatement lol
“Pictures of You.”
Oh, is it Robert? Thanks.
I’m as bad as that former goverment worker saying;
“I love Eric Clapner!”
“Did somebody say The Cure?”
I grew up listening to the Cure, Smiths etc. One of his most recent vids was how “friday Im in Love” became their biggest hit. I saw the Cure live on their Wish tour when I was a kid. At my HS prom there were at least 3 dudes who came in as Robert Smith including the big hair.
Yeah. Jocelyn Elders, Clinton’s reprehensible Surgeon General.
Love it. It’s the sort of song. Most people could identify with the basic lyrics. Looking at a picture of someone you cherish.
I think the intro uses a ukelele, producing the effect of enchantment.
It appears again at the bridge.
yeah, pretty much...
I remember catching Ted at his first New York appearance.
He came out playing on top of his stack of speakers with his trademark barnie kessel guitar.
Excellent show..
He opened for Aerosmith during their “Toys in the Attic” tour..
It’s an outrage that Ted isn’t in the Rock abd Roll Hall of Fame.
I really like his format, and more and more he seems to be getting some big names for interviews.

“He opened for Aerosmith during their “Toys in the Attic” tour..”
No way! Professor of Rock has a video on Walk this Way’ (Run DMC) and the Toys in the Attic Tour. Things I learn..
politics of course. Everyone knows he’s gonna flamethrower the place at his speech.
My older brother had the original Head on the Door album, and he would listen to it and annoyingly I had to or he would kick my ass. (2 brothers growing up in the same room) . Years later, I talk to the clerks at Guitar Center here near Sunset and the manager tells me that The Cure and Smith go there first before they start their US tours. The story was that Robert Smith in the 80’s was in town and broke his strings. Close to midnight they were closing when the store clerks saw him at the back, and they re-opened the store for him. Supposedly the only time Guitar Center opened the store but closed to the public near 1 am so Robert Smith can buy strings.
