I swear worse than a sailor on way too much rum but I can control it if I need to. I live rurally partially because of self-awareness.
My grandfather was a Southern Baptist Reverend. He never swore a day in his life. I’ll never forget the day I heard him say the N-word.

Neither sets of my Grandparents EVER said that word in my presence. My first exposure to that word was reading it. I think it was Huck Finn or Tom Sawyer. Could have been Uncle Tom’s Cabin. Anyway, it wasn’t a shocker nor did anyone I know use it.
