Did the brain scan kill him or were you pushing around a corpse the whole time? I suppose the third option is that he was brain dead but being kept “alive” by the ventilator in order to perform procedures useless to him, but that the hospital would be reimbursed for. How awful for the patient, you, and his family.

I suppose that he was brain dead before I ever walked into the room. I could not know. When I saw the computer file after I was done I was astonished. You cannot tell that a person is dead while they are ventilating. I can't.

This was a very distressing experience for me.

I never knew that hospitals did such things.

I have learned quite abit during the last 3 years or so.

I know that I was close to weeping when I heard that screaming coming from that Conference Room. It was the stuff of nightmares. I felt so awful.
