the iguana invasion is so bad here in the Keys it’s legal to kill them.
When I got home, I just had to look up their YouTube channel, and wouldn’t you know that in the first video I clicked on, she killed an iguana in their back yard with a bow spear on the bank of the canal, and then the two of them skinned it and he prepared it for dinner! Yikes. You never know who your neighbors are!
They sound like good neighbors.

One of my best friends used to hang out of helicopters to get the best photos for the AP and others. As you can see sometimes they do get airborne, the sound is awesome,my daughter is there now.
Those small dinosaurs will absolutely ravage your garden. Their claws are dangerous too, as they contain high levels of bacteria. Then there’s the problem that my big dog thinks their poop is cologne and rubs her face in the pile, dragging that into the house. The poop on my boat and the gelcoat stain is another frustration entirely.
Break barrel scoped .22 pellet rifle, zeroed in to half the width of my property dispatches them nicely, with a very satisfying thump as they fall out of the tree ending in a dead cat bounce. No guilt whatsoever felt by me.
There are neighborhood kids who offer this cleanup service on a bounty basis. Gotta love these young entrepreneurs.
While I appreciate your fondness for the photos and they certainly have an erie prehistoric intrigue, I will dispatch every single one that enters my yard.
I too photograph them...after they’re dead. And keep a seasonal count. This year is only 16. It’s an off year.
But, it keeps my skill set current.
Omg. Darcizzle Offshore is your neighbor? I’m telling bagster. That’s ssooo hawt.
This settles it--it's the Keys for me.
