I remember being poked with the needles on my arm to insert the vaccine, the blisters, and then the scar. I’m not sure but I think I ate a sugar cube for the polio vaccine. I was pretty little.

I seem to have similar recollections, which would make sense as we’re the same age, though they are foggy as I didn’t tend to dwell on such things. I’m remembering that everyone in the family had smallpox shot scars, but I can’t find mine now. Or I should say, can’t tell which one it is, because I have several white spots on my upper left arm from DIY mole removal as well.

I can’t find mine now either even though I see a few shiny spots. It has been around 60 years so I’m sure they fade over time.
