Sister in Law has had chronic IBS since teenage years. She is on an organic, non-dairy, gluten free, preservative free, yadda yadda free diet and is militant about it. (At Thanksgiving, “Who wants soy ice cream on their pecan pie?” followed by collective eye roll.) She talks about her IBS constantly.
