Depending on which CDC statistics and age group you look at, approximately 300-500 children (under the age of 20) died of “Covid” in 2020.

And for some New York-specific context, data from the National Center for Health Statistics indicates that there has been a total of 36 deaths involving COVID for the age category 0-17 from March 2020 through November 9, 2021 (i.e., the entirety of the pandemic to date). Of these, 23 of the deceased were in New York City and the other 13 in other parts of the state.

Unfortunately, from this particular database, one cannot ascertain how many -- if any -- of these 36 deceased were below the age of 12. In any event, it is clear that COVID poses no meaningful risk of death to children.
