Sheesh, this place is rough. Why do you all feel the need to spew such vitriol?

With that said, I disagree with this actress and everyone here about men vs. women.

FACT: Men, too, are valued for their looks. Women find older men less desirable, just as men find older women.

Youth and beauty fade for everyone. Very few men or women hold onto those good looks as they age. (I know a few exceptions.)

Personally, I like being older. When I was young, men held open a door if they wanted to check me out. Now, they hold a door as a sign of respect.

Not always. Some men are more attractive as they get older because they are more mature, confident and successful. Women, even younger women, take notice of that.

Fairly or unfairly, it is almost never the case for women though. Women are valued for their youth and beauty. Men almost never chase women for their money — and if one does, a smart woman should be on her guard against him.

Until the age of 25, women have the definite advantage. That shifts between 25-35. After 35, with their fertility and looks fading, men hold all the cards.
