Sarah Jessica Parker is over the criticism she and her “Sex and the City” co-stars have received for how their physical appearances have changed as they’ve gotten older.
“There’s so much misogynist chatter in response to us that would never. Happen. About. A. Man.,” Parker, 56, told Vogue in an accompanying interview for her December cover shoot. “’Gray hair, gray hair, gray hair. Does she have gray hair?’”
Parker is referring to the pics of her rocking her natural gray locks that went viral after she was spotted having lunch with friends in July.
“I’m sitting with Andy Cohen, and he has a full head of gray hair, and he’s exquisite,” Parker recalled. “Why is it OK for him? I don’t know what to tell you people!”
The double-standard is something the “And Just Like That…” star and many other female celebrities have tolerated for years. But in the age of Instagram, Twitter and TikTok, Parker feels that the scrutiny over people’s looks has only gotten louder.
“It almost feels as if people don’t want us to be perfectly OK with where we are, as if they almost enjoy us being pained by who we are today, whether we choose to age naturally and not look perfect, or whether you do something if that makes you feel better,” Parker exclaimed.
“I know what I look like. I have no choice,” she added. “What am I going to do about it? Stop aging? Disappear?”

She has her greeting hair pulled back tight, she s got an old lady pout/sneer and she’s bent over like a hag
She does not have to facial coloring to pull off whitening hair,
If she colored her hair, allowed it some volume, sat up straight, smiled then she’d earn the compliments my sisters get, who are the same age.
She’s got the added challenge of associating herself with ‘sex and the city’. People don’t forget that

The TV series. I checked out the 1st season from the library-12 episodes. 4 hot single women meeting in fancy restaurants to discuss different aspects of their sex lives. None married but all dressed up and plenty of successful men available each night of the week. Hard to believe anyone other than single women would watch and look up to them so much. Writers were smart enough to have an instance in each episode where guys like me would bust out laughing. It usually involved Samantha. I passed on followup seasons.
She has always been a heavy smoker. Cigarettes will age you.

Fight it, Sarah; that sudden urge to yell “Wilbur!!” in a deep baritone voice.
I think she has a point. Plenty of celebrities who have work done wind up looking hideous (John Kerry). She has to realize that the business she is in values youth and looks above everything else. Fans are often fickle and shallow. I don’t know that I have actually seen anything she has done, but I know her biggest splash came when she was young and youthfully attractive. Some actresses can get away with growing old before our eyes, because they have talent that trumps youth and looks, but she isn’t Ingrid Bergman or Katherine Hepburn or Barbara Stanwyck.
All else aside, people should stop being putzes and give her a break. She isn’t what she was, but she isn’t a plastic surgery freak show, either. That’s the way we all will be if we live long enough.
Guess what Sarah. Men value women’s looks much more. Women value men’s status/resources much more. Its reality. Its evolution. Its not going to change. Deal with it.

Sex and the City was an attractive title but it was boring as hell. She is pretty homely now without makeup, after wearing lots of makeup and selling herself for sex and the city. She is sitting good for the rest of her life from doing that one show. she should just go somewhere where she can be completely anonymous, which would be just about anywhere because she does not look the least bit familiar now.
Articles can say she is over being called ugly but if she was over it, she would shut the hell up!
Severely banged up women are supposed to look like them.

I had to bail after 3 minutes of trying to watch yet another of their videos.

I’m 66 and don’t have as much gray hair as this 56 year old.
