Wow, thanks. Never heard that version, just the original from Pat MacDonald and the Essentials. Knew and enjoyed them all (Pat, Barbara and the Essentials) back in the day.

I remember this band. They had the big hit "The Future's So Bright, I Gotta Wear Shades". The song you linked was interesting - it never would have gotten played on the radio back in the day.
I do have one of their Christmas songs in my collection...

I made it about 20 seconds into that song before stopping it. I just did not want to hear the word "a**hole" repeated. However, I made it all the way through "Life is Hard," the next YouTube listing for Timbuk 3. Not great, but good enough to hear.
I was very impressed with "The Future's so Bright," and still am. I saw the duo on a television show soon after the song became a hit. After performing, the show's host tried to engage the duo in light conversation, and it just did not work. They were not cute. They were not funny. They were rough. I decided they would be a hard act to sell, despite their talent.
