True, but it got much worse once the FDA discovered it.

I am not sure what to make of the rise of “y’all”. Blacks use it because it is part of Black English. I think northern Whites use it as a code word to signal their status as “allies”. That they do not grasp is that southern Whites use it, too. But I am surprised it is not denounced as cultural appropriation.

I’m from the South, and I seldom use “y’all” ever, except in the most informal personal exchanges.
