Finished in the last week or so: my big ol' black cardigan. I rarely do bulky knits. I prefer sock weight yarn and small needles. But this was a different need. I had a big, black sweater I used when I was *cold* and it gradually just wore thin. I looked for a new one for a couple years and nothing seemed right. I finally decided to just make one. In acrylic? Well it was lockdown and it was all I could find, and it was warm and soft. I can't believe I spent hours and hours hand knitting an acrylic sweater! The times we live in. The pattern was free from Lyon Yarn but I won't recommend it. Things kept not working or matching and I'd have to change it as I went. You get what you pay for :)

If you’re interested in maybe another sweater, here’s the free pattern for Claire’s Blue Cardigan .... it was a popular item from the last season. She said you can knit it up a size for something less fitted. The stitch pattern is attractive. She used 100% wool Aran - the link she gave has lots of colors.

That sweater looks nice and cozy - it was 31 degrees here this morning! I’ve been hauling out my winter clothes this week.

That is MY kind of sweater. Leggings, t-shirt, sweater, boots. I’m good to go, LOL!
