I woke just now from this dream:
I was the leader of a group of people who went back to our recently abandoned Catholic grade school to salvage what we could before its demolition. All the long day we toiled, boxing up countless old treasures left behind by dedicated teachers and saintly old nuns and priests. Some of the boxes were very heavy with educational and religious antiques, along with many small treasures the nuns and priests left behind. We had to hurry and pack things as best we could, with no packing materials to pad and protect them.
Building after building, room after room: priceless old books, equipment, and memorabilia. We shared so many great memories and discussions together as we packed them. There were many hard choices about what to pack and what to leave behind.
I saw, in an old classroom, a large wooden crucifix was left on the wall. One of the ones our class would face each morning to say our morning prayer. I had always wanted one, so I took it off the wall and carefully put it in my purse so it wouldn’t roll around, disrespectfully, in a box. We saw old dormitory rooms of the nuns and even a closet full of intricately embroidered vestments for Mass. All left behind when the school had closed so suddenly.
It would soon be dark, and looters would be coming. We would have to leave and come back in the morning for what the looters didn’t steal or destroy. I needed to get the people out. We would be in danger. I gave the order for everyone to pick up a box they could carry and leave.
It was so hard to leave all the boxes full of unique old treasures behind. My heart wrenched as I walked past each abandoned box toward the gate, We were all scrambling to reunite and escape as dusk was falling. I felt so responsible for getting all the workers out... but also for what was being left for looters to destroy. I looked down and realized all I had taken was the crucifix. The enormity of this moment of crisis woke me.

Analysis: There’s lots I could say about the old school and religious symbols, childhood, passing on beliefs and traditions, and heart wrenching loss.
But all I want to say is that, stripped of everything else that I held so dear, all I brought out with me in that moment of choosing was the crucifix from my childhood. Jesus. The Cross.
I am full of joy and wonder.
And I think we will all somehow be okay.

With Jack Ciattarelli trailing by only 15,000 votes out of about 2.4 million tabulated (so far), Save Jersey has learned that the Republican National Committee (RNC) is dispatching a legal team to the Garden State to supplement the Ciattarelli campaign and NJGOP legal efforts.
The RNC lawyers are also prepared to go to court if necessary to address any Democrat shenanigans as the vote counting continues into next week; vote by mail ballots are counted in New Jersey if they were postmarked by Tuesday at 8 p.m.

This article is saying the RNC is deploying lawyers. Shouldn’t they have done that BEFORE the fraud? It also says they manned 140 polling location...but, there’s 9,000 in the state of NJ. Has the RNC learned nothing from 2020?

Hartford Hospital in Connecticut started vaccinating children minutes after
Children will receive kid-size doses of the vaccine made by Pfizer/BioNTech
The Pfizer dose for children is only one-third of the original vaccine for adults and is given in two doses, three weeks apart
However, Covid-19 is shown to post a low-risk to children with young children accounting for less than 0.1 percent of Covid deaths in America
Critics argue that this shows that it is therefore unnecessary to vaccinate kids

... A family wants answers. Their 6-year-old son, and a neighbor’s 7-years-old son mistakenly received adult doses of the COVID-19 vaccine at a pop up clinic run by the City of Garland’s health department.
It happened Sunday, Oct. 31 at Mount Hebron Missionary Baptist Church when nurses running the clinic recommended the shot to the families of the two boys, claiming that they were eligible.
The families were then given a Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine consent form, indicating the same.
Though on Sunday, the vaccine had yet to be approved by the CDC for children aged 5-11.
“They asked us our kids ages, and so we told them 4 and 6, and they said ‘the 6-year-old can obviously get it if you’d like to go ahead and do that,’ said Julian Gonzalez, the parent of the 6-year-old.
“Going off their confidence and what we read [on the form] we were all for it,” he said.
It wasn’t until Monday that the Gonzalez family, and the family of the 7-year-old, received a call from the Garland Health Department letting them know not only were the two boys not supposed to get the vaccine, but that they each received adult doses three times the recommended amount.
“We found out after the fact that the vials for the children’s vaccine should have been different, the needles should have been different…it should have been labeled specifically for kids so…where did that decision come from? Who was it that told them they could go ahead and offer it?” Gonzalez said.

Sunspot slide - we had a legitimate solar weather warning overnight at work last night. Predictions of strong geothermal magnetic disturbances, with 3 peaks of K7 on our scale.
They can affect the power grid, but overnight, there were no detrimental effects. Other than the absolute PITA of reporting and coordinating the information flow with the rest of the power entities.
There are several dashboards on the space weather prediction center. In my line of work, the electric power community dashboard is the site of choice...
