When I was working in Manhattan during Bush the Elder's term, I observed personally Quayle leave the CBS building and get into his limo. Then I saw a virtual conga line of SUVs, vans, ambulances, cars, more vans, SUVs, Hummmers, another ambulance, more cars and vans, and a Partride in a Pear Tree follow for what felt like five minutes.

All the years I worked in NYC, I was disgusted whenever the President came to town...and it didn't matter if it was a Dem or Pubbie...the traffic was screwed up and you knew it wasn't for anything worthwhile.
