Well, you’ve made it quite clear you’ve never been in a position to have “subordinates.”

You do if there is no evidence to support your claims.

First of all, it's a suspicion, not a "claim" (and I thought we already went over this) and secondly there is evidence that there was an ongoing dispute between management and disgruntled Union members objecting to "scabs" on the set.

There is enough "evidence" to look at it. There is not enough "evidence" yet to form a conclusion.

My point is that you were too quick to level blame at that girl when it's still not certain how many other fingers were in this fiasco.

She's probably a dippy Liberal but she still deserves due process.

Those are the CURRENT pictures of the brain-dead chick who was CURRENTLY in charge of all the guns on a Western movie. Where somebody just got killed.

You think she put live rounds in the gun instead of blanks?

And BTW, this isn’t a managerial decision concerning some business matter, it’s the decision to take a firearm, point it at another human being, and pull the trigger. If you would do that, without confirming, for yourself, that you were not just about to kill another human being, you are beneath contempt.

All guns should be treated as loaded (at the very least until checked personally by anyone handling them).

I think someone “borrowed” the gun to play with it, and left 1 live round in it when they returned it. Then I think the armorer picked up the gun, didn’t check it fully, assumed it was empty, and started putting dummy rounds in it from her full stash. I think she didn’t keep count and didn’t notice that she only put 5 dummies in.

So, yes, I think Baldwin may have only fired once, but Hutchins lost her involuntary game of Russian Roulette. This type of accident is extremely rare on film sets, so it’s very likely that a long chain of unlikely events had to happen to make this tragedy happen.

I think the young woman’s social media profile suggests she doesn’t have a rigorous enough intellect to even be trusted to fill your order correctly at a McDonald’s drive-thru.

According to her statement, she has no idea where the live rounds came from. I take this to mean she didn't put them in the gun.

I've seen the difference between .45 blanks and live rounds. You can't mistake one for the other. I think someone else put bullets into that gun unless evidence to the contrary comes out.

More like a conspiracy theory or something you made up completely. Like so much of what you post.

The point is nobody was in charge of safety.

She certainly was not.

This would be the same as having her in charge of all of the anesthesia in an operating room, or having her in charge of a large 4th of July fireworks operation.

Disaster is almost a certain result when a brain-damaged child is put in charge of an operation that calls for a super-alert safety-obsessed experienced, trained and practiced adult expert.

The fact that the same fatal working revolver was used for live-ammo plinking a few hours before the death, on a set where this chick was nominally in charge, tells you all you need to know.

There was NO actual safety oversight on set.

Hi guy.

I hope you are doing good.

This is a question of negligence. For example, if handed a weapon, what is the first thing you do?

Of course, check to see if it is loaded. And even then you keep the barrel pointed up and down range.

Baldwin was negligent.

The fact that the same fatal working revolver was used for live-ammo plinking a few hours before the death,

Her statement through her lawyer asserts that this claim is false. She said that nobody used her guns for plinking.

I think people are rushing to judge her simply because she's young and takes kooky photos. Maybe she's at fault, but I very greatly doubt she put live rounds in the gun, and now she says that she didn't allow and would not have allowed anyone to use her guns for target shooting.

I think we have yet to hear the entire truth. I first suspected that some disgruntled Union member put those bullets in there deliberately to "protest" and embarrass the non-Union armorer.

That may be incorrect too, but we've seen behavior like this in the past from overzealous Union members.

I’m quite sure there’s a visible and weight difference between a blank round and a live round? Never saw a blank round before, except for a Hilti which is a .22 load with the end crimped.

Her lawyers crafted that.
Anything else would have been admission of guilt leading to jail.

Would you put her in charge of a city’s 4th of July fireworks display?

Only if you were insane.

We’re not dealing with blanks here though. Dummy rounds were the ones that would have been this gun, and are reported to have been partially loaded into it. It might be easier to mistake a dummy round for a live round.

And, based on the reports, she was not allowed on the set, she had to leave the weapons outside. The weapon in question went through at least two other peoples hands, who didn’t bother to check for ammo, and she had multiple safety requests/comments/statements either turned down/ignored by the producers/directors.

So, I think there’s plenty of blame to go around, but, I’d lay the biggest at the person who pulled the trigger. They have the final and utmost responsibility to check “one last time” since they are the one’s doing the “shooting”.
