It never needed to be asked, let alone repeatedly, as they have zero authority to do this.
The Electors were tabulated in Congress and Biden was elected and sworn in. The only method of removal would be impeachment and conviction.

the south was defeated... and union was restored to the leadership of the president elected by the northern states... but make no mistake... the division and conflict was settled by kinetic action.

The states certified THEIR elections to the federal government. Including all those contested states that are/were controlled by Republicans. Those Republican states certified their elections. Obviously, they shouldn't have. But they did. Elections certified.
The only way SCOTUS might...might get involved is IF enough states decertified their elections to put the EC vote into play.
IF Georgia, Arizona, Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania all decertified their 2020 presidential elections, Xiden would have 233 of 233 EC votes needed. He would still have the numbers. So we would need yet another state that cast their EC for Xiden to decertify their 2020 presidential election, and at that point there would be a constitution question as to what to do since neither candidate obtained the number of EC votes necessary to proceed to the next level - Congressional reading/recording/certifying of the states' certifications.
It's apparent, that there is no appetite at the state level, for any of those states to seriously contemplate decertifying their elections...let alone ALL of them plus another.
Indeed. The remedy here has to be the states cleaning up their elections...and making sure they never again certify fraud in their states.
That's right. The executive branches of Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin went around their legislatures to change their respective state's election laws. Clearly illegal, but it was allowed to happen anyway.
At a minimum, those respective states should NOT have certified their elections/cast their EC votes/transmitted them to D.C.

Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin destroyed that trust and compromised the security and integrity of the 2020 election. By ignoring both state and federal law, these states have not only tainted the integrity of their own citizens’ vote, but of Texas and every other state that held lawful elections,” said Attorney General Paxton. “Their failure to abide by the rule of law casts a dark shadow of doubt over the outcome of the entire election. We now ask that the Supreme Court step in to correct this egregious error.”
To this day, the citizens of those states, so far as I can tell, have not demanded their elected Republican majority representatives remedy that situation and put in place safeguards to prevent it from happening again.
So...it probably will happen again.
Actually, at that point, Trump would have the majority of EC votes needed to declare a winner.
So what are the odds, especially at this point, of Georgia, Arizona, Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania AND another state Xiden won...ALL decertifying their 2020 elections?
Basically, zero.
