I have run across several parents where this has been the case. If your children feel like they can treat you like a small child while you still have your full mental faculties, you screwed up raising them.
My children know better than to try manipulating me.

To be sure, it's hard to raise a thoroughbred when the parents are asses.
But God gave us freewill, and that includes the kiddies, too. There are plenty of situations where decent parents do their best, and at least one of their offspring turns into a dolt while the rest are normal.
I'm a 74 year old mother, and both my sons, who have had the shots, know enough never to raise the subject with me, especially if they want to continue walking around with their heads on their shoulders.
My kids know better. Of the 5 of us (parents +3 ) only one has gotten the shot. The three kids all got Covid within 4 days of each other. Granted they live together. 3 + 2 = 2 households.
