A woman in West Park, Florida let some bullets fly during an alleged robbery attempt.

When he throws the bullets at the guys and kills them, that was classic.
Wow… she’s got the right attitude. They definitely won’t be back. She does, however, need some training on fire discipline and how to properly lay down grazing fire. Too many rounds were going way too high.
It appears they were returning fire, based on what is happening behind her (chunks flying).
Really? Is she going to jail? Is she? Really?
"Broward Sheriff’s Office investigators said the woman was defending her home and that she is not facing any charges.Deputies said there were four men in total involved and that someone was waiting in a getaway car.
They are actively investigating and would like help from the public."
stupid for the woman to be spraying bullets all over the neighborhood like that.
i just wish she had nailed a few of them.
Thanks for the link. It is really sad that they did manage to steal two pups. I doubt they will keep them safe and sound or be stupid enough to try to sell them right away.
The "kids" were armed. She was in full self-defense mode - which includes the primary purpose to get away from the perp, or get the perp running, with whatever method possible. Seeing the spray of building material at the end, she may have been under return fire. Reaching over the vehicle to shoot provides her cover, and gives a discouragement to the "kids" to hang around.
While we are told "to check the background", is a civilian, in a full-fledged shooting match against a multitude of armed aggressors, going to pause and think about where a random round might go? Even trained police usually don't do that.
Her result, surviving a firefight without injury, is a pretty good result.

Anyone notice the young adult that came back for the piece of clothing had a gun in his right hand and before he came back, he went into a shooting stance at the front of the car pointing the gun at the woman’s location?
There were two things she did wrong:
first she didn’t fire on them when one of them produced a weapon and a threatening stance with it pointing at her location, and two she fired at them while they were retreating. The Florida stand your ground statute says:
(1) A person who is in a dwelling or residence in which the person has a right to be has no duty to retreat and has the right to stand his or her ground and use or threaten to use:
“Nondeadly force against another when and to the extent that the person reasonably believes that such conduct is necessary to defend himself or herself or another against the other’s imminent use of unlawful force.
When the gunman turned and pointed the weapon, this could have triggered the response. But he turned tail and left before she opened fire and stepped outside to do it. This will depend on the interpretation of the court on whether deadly force was justified at the time of the response. At this point, she doesn’t really have much of a leg to stand on as the threat was gone before she chose to open fire unless we couldn’t see if the person with the gun turned again. That’s why I say it will depend on the judge and what evidence he’ll accept to determine if a further threatening act actually can be confirmed.

When I click on the “video” all I get is ads.

I may be mistaken but I think in Florida stand your ground includes going after armed people who have tried to rob your home with deadly force up to a 1/4 mile. I doubt the spray and pray is covered, however.

Should have had a little training in how to use the gun. Then there wouldn’t be privileged “kids” stealing and terrifying innocent people.
Unfortunately, there is no ideal world any more. Their skin reflectances will be measured, and if she has a higher albedo, she will be found guilty.
