The technology was ready and tested before, but it could not cross the safety hurdles. Gene therapies have much higher hurdles than vaccines do. To date, no gene therapy vaccine has successfully cleared the lower vaccine safety hurdles, let alone the more stringent gene therapy safety hurdles. Frankly, none of these Covid vaccines have cleared them, not gene therapy nor regular vaccines. It takes years of testing to demonstrate efficacy and safety.
The technology would be an important step forward, if it works. Some viruses change far too rapidly. This technology allows them to create a gene therapy vaccine very quickly. Isolate the virus and determine its genetic code. Pick the part of the genetic code you want to use. Create the same code in the mRNA or DNA that you want to use. Deliver it to the cell and, just like a virus, it takes over the cell to manufacture that part of the virus. The manufactured product gets out of the cell and your body develops antibodies.
But besides the IF it works safely condition, there are still two big hurdles to cross. Years of testing and long manufacturing run ups prior to distribution. And NO company will spend money to mass manufacture something hoping it will get approved.
Here is where the ’emergency’ and Operation Warp Speed (OWS) come into play. ‘Emergency’ allows them to cut corners. Instead of years of data, they gave emergency use authorization after half the test subjects had two months of experience. (BTW, normal approval was based on 4 months experience for all test subjects. Still cutting corners.)
OWS guaranteed the govt would pay, even if the vaccine wasn’t approved, so the vaccine was manufactured at the same time as it was tested. Does anyone really think that these vaccines that the government guaranteed would be purchased, weren’t going to be approved by that same government? OWS should really stand for The Fix Was In.
But remember, the technology is still useless if it harms people (unsafe), if it doesn’t work (surprise, here is your 43rd booster), or if they can’t continue shortcutting the testing and manufacturing of all future applications. So The Fix has had to hide the harm and hide the failures. And they can’t be done until they destroy all future safety and efficacy testing.
This is all from the viewpoint of the regulators. There are many other groups that are taking advantage of this ‘crisis’ with varying overlap and collaborations. Big Pharm, politicians, media scaremongers, autocratic billionaires, science, medicine, petty bureaucratic dictators, Karens everywhere, etc.
