Ugh. That would be enough to make me a vegetarian. As a kid, I did eat some squirrel, rabbit, frog legs, quail, and catfish.

When I was a young adult, residing on the islands close to the one currently awash in molten lava, I got to sample many culinary novelties - goat, rabbit, squid, octopus, shark, moray.... I will try anything once. LOL

You say ‘vegetarian’ like it’s a bad thing. I’m finding that the older I get, the more veg appeals to me and the less meat does. If I never have a steak again, I don’t care, frankly. I haven’t had one in at least 10 years already.

FOOD SLIDE:

I am just the opposite. I find that the older I get the more I like the meat. However, it does have to be extra tender now. And I’m liking the stir fry a lot — so the few veggies are crisp tender.

But meat and potatoes is by far the most desirable thing by far.

Although I will admit that one of my most favorite meals was always pinto Beans, fried taters, fresh maters, and cornbread smothered with butter-real butter. Still is, but the Dr. advises against it — too many carbs. Ha.
