“There is nothing more dangerous than a Patriotic American”
So I am thinking, this is Our Government, Our People that WE elected to run things for us, so come election time, why can't WE vote ourselves into office to run Our Government...
How come we have to have 80 year old people who have been there for years on end to do this? Are we the American People so lazy that we can't do this ourselves???
We run for 2 terms, then turn it over to someone one else who thinks like us, wants to save money, wants to lower taxes, wants to build a wall, wants to produce our own oil, food, meats, whatever, isn't this how America became America?
Why should someone who is an idiot like Joe Blow get to be POTUS when we had one of the best Presidents we have had for a long time... Reagan wasn't afraid to say what was on his mind, Eisenhower wasn't afraid to say and do what he had to, why can't we???
I am a sane person, well educated, been in politics for a long time, can see the end of something, good or bad, and here is Utah, for some unknown reason put a fool in office as Rat Romney....you see what I am talking about??? Any one of us could hold that office and do well in it, and keep America in the back of our minds and the veterans who fought for all these freedoms as the ones who help us...
This is just something to think about, we are having elections here in Draper, and I don't know a single one of them, so I wrote my name in...
Get your friends, neighbors, whoever your close to, to put your name in and lets turn over this Country back to The People Who Are Americans and love America...

I’d love to see that happen. Unfortunately, politics has turned uglier and uglier to the point that good people don’t want to destroy their livelihood or the safety of their loved ones in order to run for office. Add that to the fact that just to get on the ballot in some races costs upward of 10K unless you can get thousands of people to sign for you. Then there’s the huge amount of money it costs to run for a campaign. Then, if you get people to give money to back you, then they think you owe them. It’s crazy. My husband was encouraged to run for office (because he is a rare man of integrity). We decided it wasn’t a good idea for those reasons listed. We need election reforms that would enable the common man to run.

Amen, HL27! I became active in the local GOP chapter several months ago. And it’s hard to say how many RINOs surround the Trump supporter newbies in GOP the mix.
The on-going corruption of the GOPe is like the 800 pound gorilla in the room that nobody sees or wants to discuss.
Any ideas out there on how to bring up the subject and get it discussed in spite of the timidity?
