The Premier of Ontario announced today that he’ll be relaxing all the restrictions (capacity limits, distancing, masks and even jab passport presentation) incrementally over the next 5 months. Capacity restrictions are lifted as of Monday and Führer Ford went on to say he expected that mass vaccination will have reached its voluntary maximum by March. He qualified his statements by saying there would have to be a corresponding reduction or stabilization of covid cases, hospitalizations and deaths during that time.
I know that many Canadians are angry. The jabbed are angry because they didn’t gain their freedoms as promised. The unjabbed are angry at the gross impingement of our freedoms of movement and bodily integrity. An angry populace is an unpredictable populace. I’m cautiously optimistic that the DS has determined that they’ve either done enough damage for now, they’ve reached their target number of deaths and maiming, they’ve become a bit afraid of us, or they’re not really in charge (I really like that one!).
It’s also entirely possible that this hope for a reprieve is part of their psychological torture - give them hope - kill the hope - give them reason to hope again, but a bit less - kill the hope - allow them to hope even less - kill the hope, until we stop hoping and just accept defeat and permanent demoralization. I will never give in to them. They cannot kill my spirit.
