Oh that’s perfect! The comedic version that always makes me smile is the Gary Larsen cartoon of a labourer slaving away in the flames of hell with the devil and his minion looking on. The labourer is whistling a tune and the devil says “You know, we’re just not reaching that guy.” I’ve been trying to be that guy through this interminable terror campaign and if they pull the rug out from under us after offering hope for an end, I will still be that guy/gal. “I am the captain of my soul.”
