For what it’s worth, we were advised not to use the fetal tissue argument as a bunch of everyday medications use the line and the reviewers know that (and will jump on that argument to deny the application). My application is concentrating on Romans 14 where the Apostle Paul states that is a sin to violate my conscience or to force anyone else to violate their conscience. Unsure if it will pass muster, but as a contractor I may get off easier than the civilians. YMMV. Good luck and God bless.........
I too concentrated my arguement on Romans 14. But correct me please. How can an employer determine an employees deeply held beliefs? Maybe this is a question for Easy. But it seems that they would open themselves to a massive lawsuit. What’s next a religious test where you have to prove your faith.
:: How can an employer determine an employees deeply held beliefs? ::
When the concept of “religion” becomes the \sole prerogative\ of the State?
Tell me...when was the “religion” of Islam codified as a State recognized religion and exempt from Laws?
Do we NEED the State to recognize each “religious” ideology to invoke the 1stA ????
If so, where are these codifications?
[Insert radical crazy ‘religion’ name here.]
As far as I can tell zero religious exemptions are being given in
some places.
The lawyers instruct us to collect evidence for the class action lawsuits.
Document EVERYTHING and send letters documenting what the company functionaries say verbally, back to the employers as checking your understanding… Save everything.
The lawyers also say these bad actors are opening themselves up to massive lawsuits. They seem happy about it.
I’m not, because I suspect the bad actors WANT the lawsuits to bankrupt the states involved.

I think the employers open themselves up to a bigger lawsuit if they start to pry and question in depth, in response to a religious exemption request.
