No....contrary to all the cop haters on here, some justified I will admit.
They’re after a guy that is a suspect in a murder. Yes, the only thing they have on him is the credit card warrant.
However, right or wrong, they are treating him as if he is a person wanted for murder and will act as they deem fit in that endeavor.
Is what they did to this couple over the top? Yes. As someone that used to work a unit that went after Fugitive’s I can say that it would have been much easier to wait for him in the lobby, when he checked out and walked up to him calmly. Cover the exits. There would be no article in the NYPOST, nothing on Free Republic and he could have posted something on FB, Instagram or told his friends and family about it.
If he did something other than calmly....follow me....to sort things out, that would be a different story and it would be evident right away.
But he’s not wanted for murder..
He’s wanted for credit card fraud..
They may want to question him for murder, but bringing the entire justice system down on him, including the Marshalls and swat team?
Someone’s going to get killed, and last time I checked, credit card fraud does not rate the death penalty.
The couple that this story is about were very lucky. They could have been dead.
If that doesn’t frighten you, well....
