If that picture you posted shows your best effort, it is no surprise you failed to see positive results. I built better rigs in grad school forty years ago.

***Not really. The first hundred or so replications of the Pons Fleischmann Anomalous Heat Effect [PFAHE] came from the Who’s Who of Electrochemistry. Those guys regularly use calorimetry and electrolysis, while the physicists who were so threatened by these developments have almost never used them since their undergrad days. This was a turf war from the beginning and you’re engaging in it.
