We are entering an age where the ordinary person has very little power against a robotic military machine.
The robotic machine may be controlled by smaller and smaller numbers of people.
Eventually, only a tiny number of people will be needed to operate it; eventually maybe one.
Then... no humans necessary?

Very easily, the same way you get close to any enemy who can outrange you with a direct fire weapon. You use terrain masking and cover to get very close and flank them while your buddy tries to fix them from the front from good cover.
The 260 in it’s 1970s factory twist rate is slow to stabilise the long heavy VLD bullets that make the 6.5mm caliber the go to long distance bullet. Short of specialty very heavy long range firearms such as the 338 lapua or the 50 BMG all three will shoot supersonic past 1600 meters the 6.5s do it in a short throw rifle under 20 lbs. Modern 6.5s have 1:7 twists more than enough to shoot long 140+gr VLD bullets something a 260 cannot do for two reasons the twist rate is first and the second is the case is the wrong neck angle and depth. If you try to seat a heavy VLD bullet into a 260 you have to seat it so deep it takes up powder space and getting a crimp is nearly impossible up on the ogive of the bullet the shank is now too deep in the case. The creedmore case is set up form the get go to hold VLD on the shank while having a blown out case and hard neck angle like all modern cases. There are better 6.5s the king of the hill for long distance competition work is the 6.5/284 it pushes a 140gr8 VLD 250 fps faster than the creed. Paired with a 1:6 barrel it will reach 2000+ meters with ease. The 6.5/06 also sends the mail one mile plus again you need a custom 1:6 twist and 26”+ barrel pacnor makes them in 5R rifling even.
