From my schooling half a century ago, I remember that Columbus promoted slavery for the New World.
I was just discussing yesterday some history with my idiot roommate, who said that Christopher Columbus was working for some international conspiracy when he crossed the Atlantic Ocean to see what the 13 colonies were up to. One of the points I made was that he was looking for a shortcut to China for trade because the muzzies had blocked all the trade routes, and he had this bewildered look of “I don’t know enough to counter what this guy says, but I disagree with it.”
