I will say (touchdown Alabama, sorry) that in my line of work, there’s been a years-long push to proceduralize everything. EVERYTHING. To the point that the younger people often can’t think or reason their way through situations on the power grid. Now, 95% of the time, there is a procedure that will work (more or less) in a given situation, but that other 5% requires thinking, logic, and reasoning.
Since they’re trying to run thinkers out of critical processes, one can easily see that the future is kind of bleak if the thinkers choose to stop thinking.
