As a Protestant, I always think of Protestant churches, or evangelical or whatever they are called nowadays, but I think of Rick Warren, Greg Laurie, Billy Graham (now Franklin Graham), Joyce Meyer. Not to mention other non-denominational churches like Joel Osteen.. mega churches. They are slick with their messages.
I also don’t like even the small churches were you walk in, it’s all black, like some sort of stage. Me no likey.

Interesting, how you read Q drops after they have bounced around in your brain pan for a while and you see things you didn’t see before. When I read your post, the first thing that came to mind was... “When they became 501 (c) corporations.”
Once they had to report to the government to ALLOW their “religious exemption” they became controlled, and many of the things they seem to have done in the last many years is to ensure that exemption. That, and a bunch of silver-tongued charlatans and pedophiles cashing in.
