“Thank you for the Spurgeon quote. We were at Church last night in small group. The discussion was about how the Church has taught the body to be passive in the face of evil and how that has played into the mess America is facing today. I said that we (America) needs more Spurgeon and less Olsteen today.”

Not just Olsteen. Way too many Big Eva types are all about going along with the Reich. So much so that I wonder about their real reasons but to be gracious I will say they have bought into the passive, “winsomness” mindset. The only people they are aggressive with are the Christians who stand against unBiblical things. Look at John MacArthur’s church who initially closed but then opened when the restrictions continued. They all ridiculed him either directly or indirectly. CA authorities came after them but they stood strong on God’s Word and the saints gathered to worship. In the end, they were paid $800,000 to settle the lawsuit. Majority of other Big Eva types were cowering and making excuses, just like too many do on social issues, to be popular.

Amen. You point is a good one. Someone brought up a point I hadn’t considered. 501c status is a tool to keep the Church from taking a more vocal role in opposing the crap that’s out there to day. Thought that was an interesting take.

:: Thank you for the Spurgeon quote. ::

Spurgeon is a heretic and should be run-out on a rail, tar& feathered and burned at the stake.
Maybe nuked from orbit, just to make sure.

Change my mind.
