A man plunged nine stories from a high-rise in Jersey City, NJ, landed on a BMW — and miraculously survived, according to stunning photos and a witness.
The man crashed through the roof of the Beemer parked below 26 Journal Square at 10:20 a.m. Wednesday, then stood up with a broken arm and asked, “What happened?,” onlooker Christina Smith, 21, told The Post.
“I heard a big boom and I didn’t think it was a person at first,” said Smith. “The back window of the car just busted out — exploded. Then the guy jumped up and started screaming. His arm was all twisted.”

She quickly called 911, then took jaw-dropping photos and videos of the aftermath, including graphic footage of the man screaming in pain with upper-body injuries.
He was rushed to a hospital by ambulance and his condition was not immediately known Thursday.
Police are investigating the incident, including whether he jumped, fell or was pushed, according to nj.com.

I was wondering if that is why they are trying to find out if he was pushed or fell. Pushed might equal not responsible for the damages?
Fell due to recklessness, alcohol or drugs?

I have this recurring nightmare that I come upon a scene of a car fire, and there is a woman screaming inside... and there are people standing around outside the car taking video, instead of helping.
Bet he sues BMW for stopping his fall.
Otherwise, he would have been denied treatment at the E.R.

Who knew, even the roof of a Beemer is a crumple zone.
Was involved in a situation many, many years ago where a classmate fell 6 stories I think it was and landed on a corrugated metal roof and survived. I can imagine that this is roughly comparable. So yeah - this kind of thing can happen.
