You cannot go wrong with a Remington 870 Express with the extension tube making it a 9+1.

The design of the 870 hasn't changed in over 100 years because it's that damn' good. Best shotgun made, IMO and I own several different ones. Nothing beats it, IMO.

Yes, and I already have the longish barrel 870 Wingmaster. But it’s awkward indoors. But in my current situation $$ wise, I’d have to save for another 870 for a good while, vs. more quickly putting something like the inexpensive little 18.5” pump gun I saw online with a huge rebate (1/3 off basically) in hand. (Unfortunately the rebate ended the evening I saw it & B4 I could do any research, but it gave me the notion to start “hunting”. And do research like this thread.
