“I was hoping for a “Storm” to arrive. Just not this one.”
Batten ‘em down, Chuck. Keep us posted, if you can.
31’ waves in the approach, subsiding to 19’, 75 mph gusts. Even in the marina, I imagine your boat’s going to bounce around a little.
I’ve been in a sailboat in 12’ seas. Didn’t like it - don’t want to do it again.

Chuckster’s Storm Slide
Aftermath: Two broken bunji clips and one lost shock cord from the storm covers on the foredeck.
It was dark and stormy night...
We bounced and rolled quite a bit against the heavy snubbers on the dock lines.
I forgot to take down the oversized American flag that we fly from the head stay before the storm hit. It made a hella racket beating against the shrouds all night in the gusts. When I decided to go out and take it down, a gust nearly blew me off the dock. I left it and crawled back inside.
In the dawn’s early light... I tightened up the flag halyard and re-secured the foredeck cover. Sun shining. Flag flying. All good.
Now it’s raining again.
