Ok, funny story of the night. Every Christian music concert I've ever been to has some sort of partnership with a Christian charity, like Feed The Children, Children International, Compassion International, etc. Tonight was in conjunction with Children International. What usually happens is right at intermission they have representatives out on the floor in the audience passing out children to sponsor.
Well, this guy in front of me raised his hand to get a child but the lady near us was looking higher up in the audience and didn't see him. So to be helpful, I started making a big pointing gesture at him above his head (he just held his hand up and wasn't moving it). She saw that!
She also thought *I* wanted one so handed up two! So now I'm the sponsor of a little girl in the Philippines named Denise who turns 9 on October 17. 🤓
Lol!!! Hope that works out for you. Many, many years ago my step-mother sponsored a child and she expected to have a lot of interaction between her and the child but NO! Just a picture and a note. So after a year or so (I don’t really remember how long) she quit sponsoring.

Compassion is a great organization. We’ve been sponsoring a child for 5 years through them. We hear from them 6-7 times a year and it is incredible to watch them grow.
