I bet those saltines taste 100% better than boxed, store bought.
Pretty!
That looks like the size of the one we fry chicken in....a little deeper than the others.
52 terrorists heading toward U.S. blocked by Panama, congressman says
The Washington Times - Monday, October 18, 2021
Panama has caught 52 people on terrorist watch lists who were en route to the U.S., a Republican congressman said in a new podcast Monday, citing a conversation with Panama’s foreign minister.
Rep. Tony Gonzales of Texas was speaking on the Republican National Committee’s “Real America” podcast when he revealed his conversation with the top Panamanian diplomat, who said there are more than 100,000 migrants in her country headed toward the U.S. right now.
Panama screens people it encounters who are making the journey, and Mr. Gonzales said he asked whether anyone on terrorist watch lists had been detected.
“She goes, ‘Funny you ask that Tony because in Panama we do biometrics and we have apprehended 52 people that have been — that are associated with al Qaeda,’” the congressman recalled.
He said he asked her whether Panama had alerted the Biden administration.
“She goes, ‘There’s no one home. I’m here talking to you because the administration is just absent,’” the congressman said.
The issue of terrorists exploiting the southern border amid the current surge of illegal immigrants is one of the most heated debates.
Customs and Border Protection did announce in April that agents had caught two men from Yemen on terrorist watch lists in the previous two months.
The CBP announcement was then scrubbed from the agency’s website. In a statement after the deletion, the agency said the news release “was not properly reviewed” and disclosed national security information that had to be erased.

That’s what I was thinking too. But nobody seems to know what they mean.
I just found this; wonder if this is what ‘credentials’ means? This isn’t Illinois specific.
https://www.policechiefmagazine.org/qualified-retired-officer-firearm-credentials/
U.S. federal law, under the Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act (LEOSA), requires a retired or qualified officer possess both a photographic identification issued by his or her agency and an annual firearms qualification certification in order to carry a firearm in all U.S. jurisdictions.1 LEOSA also specifies who is eligible or qualified for these credentials. Though there is flexibility in meeting the firearms qualification requirement, how a former officer meets the photographic identification requirement is quite restrictive. Further, LEOSA does not provide policy or mandate issuance of photo identifications, and where no policy exists, problems can arise. Though many agencies have policies in place, discretionary issuance ultimately lies with the chief of police or agency executive.
LEOSA Definition of “Qualified, Retired”
Those who meet LEOSA criteria are considered qualified retired officers:
(1) separated from service in good standing from service with a public agency as a law enforcement officer
(2) before such separation was authorized by law to engage in or supervise the prevention, detection, investigation, or prosecution of, or the incarceration of any person for, any violation of law, and had statutory powers of arrest or apprehension
(3)(A) before such separation served as a law enforcement officer for an aggregate of 10 years or more; or
(B) separated from service with such agency, after completing any applicable probationary period of such service, due to a service-connected disability, as determined by such agency;
(4) during the most recent 12-month period, has met, at the expense of the individual, the standards for qualification in firearms training for active law enforcement officers, as determined by the former agency of the individual, the State in which the individual resides or, if the State has not established such standards, either a law enforcement agency within the State in which the individual resides or the standards used by a certified firearms instructor that is qualified to conduct a firearms qualification test for active duty officers within that State;
(5)(A) has not been officially found by a qualified medical professional employed by the agency to be unqualified for reasons relating to mental health and as a result of this finding will not be issued the photographic identification as described in subsection (d)(1); or
(B) has not entered into an agreement with the agency from which the individual is separating from service in which that individual acknowledges he or she is not qualified under this section for reasons relating to mental health and for those reasons will not receive or accept the photographic identification as described in subsection (d)(1);
(6) is not under the influence of alcohol or another intoxicating or hallucinatory drug or substance; and
(7) is not prohibited by Federal law from receiving a firearm.2
Providing they meet the above LEOSA criteria, former officers are eligible to receive photographic identification from their former agency. This does NOT include officers who resigned from their agencies in lieu of being terminated for cause or facing criminal charges.
I don’t know. I was fiduciary/administrator for retirement plans with my employers, and met with Calpers about our members plan when I worked for the union, and I don’t recall seeing that term.
it goes on to state -"This card does not convey any authority beyond LEOSA. The carriage of a handgun by the cardholder is done only under the laws of their state of residence, and the Law Enforcement Officer Safety Act of 2004." It has photo and name of issuing agency and name and description as a retired officer/agent.
I’m surprised Panama would stop them or even care since they are just passing through Panama in route to the US.

US Afghan Rep Khalilzad quits; pays for pro-Taliban tilt in Doha process
Thomas West has been appointed as the new US special representative to Afghanistan, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced in a statement on Monday. This comes after Zalmay Khalilzad resigned from the post following chaotic withdrawal of the American forces from Afghanistan.
“West, who served on then-Vice President Biden’s national security team and on the National Security Council staff, will lead diplomatic efforts, advise the Secretary and Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs, and coordinate closely with the US Embassy Kabul presence in Doha on America’s interests in Afghanistan,” Blinken said in a statement.
Thanks so much, CB!
That is what I remember my cast iron looking like as well. I never used soap, and I don’t think I used lard, but I did use oil on it. I looked up the seasoning process.....I think I’ll mention it to Natalie tomorrow, as this is definitely what is lacking. Hers do not resemble this and it’s because she throws them (well, that’s impossible...they’re too darned heavy lol) into the sink with the soapy dishwater in it. They get scrubbed like any other pot, so there is no seasoning on them whatsoever.
Lard would be a good idea - she will have some and we have to rub them down (even the handle) and put them into a very hot oven for 50 minutes. I can hear the smoke alarm going off already lol! That skillet of yours looks good.
Good morning, lysie!
A cold 43 degrees here this morning!
Fall is here!
And we get TWO cups of steaming goodness!
Thank you!

So far, 13 Democrats have decided to officially call it quits on the House, leaving their seats open for a competitive fight and giving Republicans a chance to snag another seat.

Kamala flew to Nevada today for a discussion about “climate change” in case you were wondering how much they care about your empty grocery shelves.
Good morning, lysie!
Double the deliciousness, thank you.
Terribly windy day yesterday, hope it’s calmer today.
This is REALLY a good question.
Another good question is why is Congress and all their staff exempt from the vax?
This is such blatant hypocrisy or is this proof that the Bye-done Regime doesn't care about THEM, wants them to die?
Or is it something more nefarious, the vax is meant to kill us?
This from Laura Loomer on GAB:
How long before hundreds of thousands of people each day start dropping dead like flies from taking the COVID vaccine?
Politicians who mandate COVID vaccines are murderers.
I am convinced that many people on the left (the Gates wedding, for example) are taking the saline vaccines that are reported being out there.
Laura Loomer is not afraid to speak out and say out loud what we are all thinking.
That’s why she is labeled a conspiracy theorist or a nut job.
Morning, Judy!
