Not so bad! I hear Germany is a nice place to do work like that...:)

I enjoyed the time in Germany. The server side of the work I was doing got very complex one afternoon. Lufthansa had a security maintenance contract on the HP-UX and received patches on a regular basis. One of the kernel patches checked the "magic number" on scripts and demanded the presence of #!/path/to/the/script/executable. I had an Oracle database to install and the installation shells on the DVD were either missing the "magic number" or used an alternative set of leading characters. I had to regenerate a new DVD by extracting to disk, editing all of the shells to satisfy the kernel patch, and burning replacement media. Oracle Germany support just gave me a "tough luck", we'll fix it in a few weeks. Not good enough.
