“Turning off the wifi disables the thermostat completely?”
Not sure that’s possible - while you may be able to shut off your wifi, I’m not sure you can shut off other networks, including the ones that they use.

Sounds like the ad on the about batteries a little girl in the back seat of a car her lap top dies she slams it on the seat screams and smears green lip stick all over her face.
Mega funny only seen a few times here in LA.

Yeah, it’s a mid-day turn off. The power company by me put smart meters out and said you could join their energy conserving program whereby on exceptionally high load days, they may cut off your power for an hour or so. The theory being most people at office or what not.
I said no thanks!

You were VERY SMART as people who did sign up will likely find that one hour promise not binding and will have to suffer through some very hot times.

“Nothing” happened because people like YOU made sure nothing happened. People miss that point sometimes... A belated ‘thanks’ rlmorel.

Because required mods were performed.

Nope.

The powers that be came in a put anti-tamper covers over the thermostats at work many years ago because they deemed it to be too cold in the building.
Later they walked in and found a light bulb hanging by the thermostat and a “too cold” building. Do you know how hard it is to get a bulb the exact right distance to warm the thermostat up to get the exact right temperature?
They were not amused.

You are correct. There were a lot of bank mergers leading up to Y2K. Some banks just weren’t gonna make it in time. In Philly the branding of the sports arena got re-branded right after the big merger took place, right before Y2K.

LOL - Too many, most of the new ones like Gab, Parler, Frankspeech, etc. I’m still on facebook as I’m working on a retirement career as an artist. I’m not a purist ;) I’m also a lazy prepper. My house is too small to really stock up, so I just keep a rather large collection of middle shelf alcohol. I figure I can trade shots for other things that I need if the apocalypse ever happens. . .and the Biden regime seems pretty focused in that end.
