The Merck manufacturing system and aquisitions provide Ivermectin in liquid form for reformulating into pills and vet pastes. Ivermectin is a world-wide godsend because it cures river blindness and kills fillaria. It also cures scabies and lice with a single oral dose or two doses divided by three days (works through the system slowly, so taking it every day builds up tioo much in a week, so adverse reactions start appearing, like dizziness, vomiting, etc. Liver overload is the most advrse effect. It takes a huge amount to stop liver functions, so it is considered a high LD50 (lethal dose for 50% of study group), meaning it is relatively safe even with accidental overdose. A full dose for a 1250 pound hiorse would cause liver damage in a 200 pound human, and that is for ALL mamals under the weight suggestions, so the syringes are marked to allow dosing by weight, with a margin for error that is still in the safe range.
What be mamals?
