I don’t think there is a federal statute for murder.

You do realize that people can have more than one interest concurrently, right? At any given time, I probably have at least 30 stories I am following. The human brain can be pretty amazing (for some of us at least).

Now that he’s been charged with a crime his parents can be charged with obstruction and/or aiding and abetting a criminal in an active investigation.”

Good points. I’ve been suspecting a budding schizophrenic for days, and have posted same. His artwork is downright gruesome psychopathy.

He murdered her. Pretty obvious.
And I doubt he offed himself. But I don’t think he’s some wilderness expert like he reportedly bragged to others, so Mother Nature might take care of the problem depending on how he attempted to disappear and how much help he has actually had from the family.
To: Bell Bouy II
This is something he could have been charged with before he disappeared. Not the FBI’s finest hour here.

Maybe they know where he is and this warrant gives them a green light to arrest and hold him. Instead of just bringing him in for questioning, which he would call his attorney and simply walk out.

If his parents know or knew his whereabouts and don’t provide info on his whereabouts, they could be in deep crap. At some point they will need to cut the cord and help out themselves and their son by talking to the Feds. I see an insanity plea on the horizon.

And that also speaks to why it would be hard to pin anything on them that happened before this, unless it could be established that he admitted to them that he committed a crime and they helped him.

Tells us that the Fed has been looking at bank records...points of purchase track Laundrie’s movements. More places to look for witnesses. Bet the cell phone is registered in mom or dad’s name just like the Mustang registration...now those records might be very interesting, revealing more locations, duration of calls, avenues for interrogation. Maybe a peeled edge that uncovers more.

The use fraudulent use of a card more than once or in excess of $100 is a felony in FL. Not sure on a federal level, but it does open the door a crack on the parents possible help/involvement.
