Steve Petito is speaking out on Instagram Wednesday against the law firm representing Brian Laundrie’s family, saying “we don’t require nor want your empathy” and “by you trying to show compassion here at this moment is beyond disgusting.”
Petito made the comments in reaction to a statement Laundrie family attorney Steven Bertoloni gave to Fox News yesterday, in which the lawyer said “May Gabby Rest in Peace.”
“As far as the law is concerned this law firm may be immune due to attorney/client privilege,” Steve Petito wrote.
“But in the eyes of the public you are as guilty and complicit with this massive cover-up and stalling tactic,” he added

You can pray for the young women’s soul and provide the young man with a legal defense. One act does not exclude the other nor is it hypocritical.
In fact, both actions are morally worthy of admiration.
I disagree. No one is denying Laundrie his rights but we have the right to question the suspicious and callous behavior. Laundrie stonewalled the search for Gabby and his family helped. I stand by my statement. They’re hypocrites.
Blame is on NPPD not naming him a suspect from day one.
That lawyer is losing future clients every minute his current client is “missing” and he and the parents are mum.
Her dad moved from NY to FL in July. Bet he was already getting red flags from Brianne.
I’ve yet to find if Brianne ever had a job.
He’s not a defense attorney. He’s a personal friend of the Laundrie family and handles their real estate businesses and misc.
The chief of police made a public announcement they had eyes on him and knew exactly where he was. The very next day, he’s reported missing for days.
Wonder if anyone ever saw him after he hid the van in the garage on Sept. 1.
One of the first NY Posts stories said they both worked at Publix but it was the only time his employment was mentioned.
Coroner ruled it was a homicide yesterday.
Sooner rather than later, a Laundrie family member will screw up and give away Mickey Hartbeard’s location. Either electronically or just loose talk. Schadenfreude.
Have the police declared it a murder, and are there named suspects?

I think everyone thinks he did it, but officially it matters with respect to the law.
Larry is only licensed to practice in North Carolina. Doubt Brain made it that far on foot.

There was a time when I thought most criminal defense attorneys were scum; UNTIL I had to deal with a few prosecutors. Criminal defense attorneys are paragons of virtue compared to slimy prosecutors. I know a few defense attorneys who won't even give prosecutors their fax numbers so prosecutors can't fax documents just before hearings. They force the prosecutors to mail them out so they don't get ambushed.
Since he graduated from HS in that same year or the year before, it looks like the typical goofy boy’s room. Don’t know if the gun is real or not. Their HS friends have said he was “different” and controlling in his relationships and one of her exes said she was “crazy”.
Good thing the parents have sold several properties recently so they can financially support their little monster wherever he might be. This house was supposed to be on the market but there’s no For Sale sign. Doubt they’ll get the asking price anytime soon.

Innocent until proven guilty only applies to the end of a trial. If it applied to any point in time prior, no one would ever be arrested.
Who do you think caused this homicide? She was found within yards of where the van was parked.
One friend said he’s controlling and didn’t want her to have friends. He didn’t want her going line dancing with her so stole her ID out of her purse. Friend also said they had been arguing more and over the past year Gabby stayed at her house 7-10 times after arguments.
Would like to know which people she told they had broken up and which she still maintained they were still engaged.
Also want to know the real reason her father moved from NY to FL in July. Could be he was seeing red flags.
