Exactly 50 years ago today (a half century ago), this song debuted at #100 on the Hot 100.
It would only rise about halfway up the Top 100 but it got a lot of airplay at the time and still gets airplay on classic rock stations to this day.
I’m surprised if they still are allowed to play it on the radio today.
That song would be banned as homophobic today, and it’s really an anti-war song.
Wow bringing it all back
I hear it often on various Sirius channels. I’m a bit burnt out on it now, as I am with a lot of classic rock. Good tunes, but I just heard them too many times.
How about Twenty first century schizoid man. Wish I knew how to post the album image. Quite appropriate for today.
Got it. Its where I picked up on EL&palmer
Wide Mouth Screaming Face ?
I love these posts - So, Thanks! I always find lots of music memories ‘Out On The You Tube.’ :)
Actually that’s King Crimson. It’s often considered the first progressive rock album.
Yup, King Crimson. Their only album I think.
It's always "Out on the YouTube" or "Out On The Facebooks"
They think I'm "Out Of It" but actually I'm paying more attention than they think!
Died while preparing for a US tour. Saw him at the Cow Palace’78. Great.
Yup, that’s the one. King Crimson the band.
Hmmmm. Didnt we do this a week or so ago? LOL! These days Rare Earth’s “ Hey Big Brother” would also work. π±πΈπ€π¬
Everywhere is freaks and hairies
Dykes and fairies, tell me where is sanity?
Tax the rich, feed the poor
‘Til there are no rich no more
