my guess is that the lesbian (Kylen Schulte) that worked at the Moonflower Coop may have been a little too friendly to Gabby for Brian’s liking. It’s quite possible that Gabby and Brian were in that store more than once and got to know Kylen and learned where she and Crystal Turner were staying. In any case, perhaps some flirting between Kylen and Gabby resulted in the fight between Gabby and Brian outside the store.

Certainly not out of the question given the timeline:

• Aug 12th - fight between Gabby and Brian outside of Moonflower Coop
• Aug 12th - cops pull over Gabby and Brian
• Aug 13th - last time Schulte and Turner were seen (at Woodys Tavern)
• Aug 18th - Schulte and Turner found dead

it’s quite possible that Brian killed Schulte and Turner without Gabby knowing

It dawned on me after posting this that at some point later, Gabby may have seen the news about these murders and confronted Brian...which would have driven him to kill her. Maybe this is too much of a stretch, but it at this point who the heck knows!
