She was a cute young girl who probably reminded a lot of people of their own daughters. I think what set it apart was the weird circumstance of the boyfriend coming back alone with no comment about the missing girl while his parents apparently shielded him.
Daughters that make stupid choices about scum bag boys and end up dead or punched out.
Daughters that had no solid father mother figures in their lives, Fathers that displayed love and caring for their wives from the daughters day of birth and through out life.
Daughters that see that,live that usually don't choose losers, they choose guys that mirror their decent dads.
Every week our local NYC affiliate TV station posts pictures of mostly young women who have gone missing under the title “ help us find these children”. To me it is pointless as I don’t have any idea what I’d do if I thought I saw one. But it gives measure to the number of missing girls. Mostly runaways I’m sure and many end up like Gabby with no further TV coverage.
